Smoked Paprika Chicken Thighs (Easy Recipe)
Smoked Paprika Chicken Thighs
This simple recipe transforms basic chicken thighs into a smoky, aromatic masterpiece. The key is using high-quality smoked paprika (pimentón de la Vera) for authentic depth of flavor.
Ingredients
- 8 bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs
- 2 tablespoons smoked paprika
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- Fresh thyme for garnish
Instructions
Pat chicken dry and season generously with salt. Mix smoked paprika, cumin, garlic, and olive oil into a paste. Rub under and over the skin. Let marinate for at least 30 minutes. Roast at 425°F for 30-35 minutes until skin is crispy and internal temperature reaches 165°F.
Serving Suggestions
Pair with roasted potatoes, grilled vegetables, or a fresh green salad. The pan drippings make an excellent sauce base—add a splash of lemon juice and spoon over the chicken.
