Dukkah-Crusted Salmon: Quick Weeknight Meal
Why Dukkah on Salmon
Dukkah — a blend of toasted nuts, sesame, and spices — creates an incredibly crunchy crust on fish while adding layers of nutty, warm flavor. This technique works beautifully with salmon.
Ingredients
- 4 salmon fillets (6 oz each)
- 3 tbsp dukkah blend
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- Salt and lemon wedges
Method
Pat salmon dry and season with salt. Press the flesh side into dukkah to form an even crust.
Heat olive oil in a non-stick skillet over medium-high. Place salmon crust-side up, cook 4 minutes. Flip carefully and cook 3-4 minutes more until fish flakes easily.
Serve with lemon wedges and a simple green salad.
Making Dukkah
Toast ¼ cup hazelnuts, 2 tbsp sesame seeds, 1 tbsp coriander seeds, 1 tsp cumin seeds. Crush coarsely. Mix with salt and pepper.
