Cardamom Coffee: Brew It Right
Cardamom Coffee Tradition
In the Middle East, cardamom coffee (qahwa) is a symbol of hospitality. The spice adds a warm, slightly sweet note that pairs perfectly with coffee bitterness.
Three Methods
Ground in Filter: Crush 2 green cardamom pods and add the seeds to your coffee grounds before brewing.
Simmer in Pot: Crush 3 pods and add to freshly brewed coffee. Simmer on low for 5 minutes, then strain.
Pre-Ground Mix: Mix 1/4 tsp ground cardamom per 2 tbsp coffee grounds. Store in an airtight jar.
