Spice-Infused Honey Recipes

Why Infuse Honey?

Honey is a natural preservative and flavor carrier. Infusing it with spices creates a versatile condiment that elevates cheese boards, tea, marinades, and desserts.

Base Method

Warm honey gently in a double boiler to 120F (never boil — it destroys enzymes). Add spices, stir, and let steep for 24-48 hours. Strain if desired, or leave spices in for continued infusion.

Recipe 1: Cinnamon Vanilla Honey

Add 2 cinnamon sticks and 1 split vanilla bean to 1 cup of honey. Perfect for tea, yogurt, and drizzling over brie.

Recipe 2: Chili Lime Honey

Add 2 dried arbol chilies and zest of 1 lime. Use as a glaze for grilled chicken or pizza drizzle.

Recipe 3: Rosemary Black Pepper Honey

Add 3 fresh rosemary sprigs and 1 tsp cracked black pepper. Pair with goat cheese and crusty bread.

Recipe 4: Cardamom Ginger Honey

Add 8 crushed cardamom pods and 2 inches of sliced fresh ginger. Stir into chai or drizzle over poached pears.

Recipe 5: Turmeric Golden Honey

Mix 2 tsp ground turmeric and 1 tsp black pepper into honey. Add to warm milk for a soothing golden drink.
