Smoked Paprika Chicken Thighs Recipe
Ingredients
- 8 bone-in chicken thighs
- 2 tbsp smoked paprika
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp cumin
- Salt and black pepper
- 2 tbsp olive oil
Method
Pat chicken dry. Mix spices and rub generously over both sides. Heat oil in a cast-iron skillet over medium-high heat. Place chicken skin-side down and cook 8 minutes without moving. Flip and transfer to a 400F oven for 20 minutes.
Why This Works
Smoked paprika adds depth that regular paprika can't match. The initial sear creates a crispy skin while the oven finishes cooking the meat gently.
Serving Suggestions
Serve with roasted potatoes and a squeeze of lemon. The pan drippings make an excellent sauce when deglazed with white wine.
